A complete cast lead token, probably dating to the 16th/ 17th century (diameter: 24.1mm; thickness: 1.9mm; weight: 6.06g). The token is only decorated on one side with criss-crossed linear design, as well as other marks in between which are quite worn. There is also a slight rim around the outside edge of the token.

This artefact is similar to a token illustrated by Mitchiner, 1984, page 122 & 156, plate 15, ref no 15, dating between AD 1570-90 and described as a provincial tokens of the Elizabethan period.
