A copper alloy Post Medieval heart shaped strap mount dating from AD 1550 - 1750. It has a bi-lobed top narrowing to a decorated rounded point at the bottom, forming a narrow heart shape. The terminal at the narrow end is thicker than the rest of the mount, making it look like a fly or insect with wings. There are the remains of a white metal coating. On the reverse are two integral spikes, now broken off, to attach the mount to a strap. It is 24.23mm long, 10.75mm wide, and 5.02mm thick. It weighs 2.28g. Compare DENO-841EC1 which suggests published parallels.
