A copper alloy coin weight dating from 1700 - 1780. It is flat and circular in plan. One side is unmarked and the other side carries a marking in the form of a crown formed from two loops, joined at the base, with a circular pellet between them. There are also traces of a numeral 6. The weight has a dark grey patina. It is 13.8mm in diameter and 2.7mm thick. It weighs 2.71g (0.095oz). The mass and markings suggest it was used for weight the Portuguese quarter moidore coin, which circulated in England for 6s and 9d and had a mass of 2.66g. See page 53 - 55 of Lions, Ships and Angels by P and BR Withers.
