A Medieval cast copper-alloy possible swivel strap fitting, dating to AD 1000 - 1400. The fitting is formed from two symetrical, although unevenly cast triangular loops. The loops are joined together in the middle towards the points, This creates a waisted appearance, The middle has a pair of knops on either side. The entire object has a rectangular cross-section. The short ends of the fitting have circular perforations which possibly indicate at its use as a swivel fitting.
