Cast copper alloy stirrup strap mount with niello inlay, plate roughly triangular with curving sides which bear small projections suggesting Ringerike style fronds. The inlaid design is crude and appears to represent knot work motifs. There is a transverse step/ledge across base. Two rivet holes, containing traces of iron are present at the apex and base of the triangle. There are two further, unfinished holes either side of the base.Height 50.4mm, Width 34.4mm, Thickness 3.5mm, Mass 26.05g.
