A cast copper alloy open topped thimble or sewing ring dating dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1500-1700).

It consists of a circular band with no visible seam and tapers inwards from the base to apex. It is stamped on its outer face with four rows of regular, circular holes that spiral towards the right. It has a slightly thickened lower rim that is undecorated.
