A silver hammered coin dating from the late Medieval period: a Venetian soldino of Doge Michele Steno (1400-1413). Obverse: Doge kneeling left holding banner; mint control marks of a star above recumbent S to right; MICH[---] ST[E]N D V X. Reverse: winged and nimbate lion of St Mark facing, holding book of gospels; S MARCVS VENETI. The coin has a diameter of 16.1mm, a thickness of 0.45mm, and weighs 0.45g.
