Part of the head plate from an Anglo-Saxon small long brooch, probably a broken side projection. The object is oval in outline with one straight edge showing an ancient break where it attached to the rest of the brooch. Two fine incised parallel lines run parallel and close to this straight edge on one face. The object is in poor condition, is 17mm long, 12mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 1.62g.
