A fragment of a lead object of uncertain type or date, but probably Post Medieval to Modern (c. AD 1500-1900). The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section with breaks around all four sides. On the two faces of the fragment are the remains of a raised circular design consisting of a series of concentric circles with regular triangular intervals pointing outwards around each circle. In between each circle the surface is flat and undecorated. Above and below the remaining design at the breaks there appears to be the remains of two further circular designs, with the fragment curved and ridged at these breaks reminiscent of the remaining design. The design has been cast so that it is mirrored on the front and reverse. The fragment has a pinkish-grey patina. A tentative date of Post Medieval to Modern has been applied owing to the style of the design and manufacture.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 21.48mm in length, 17.22mm in width, 9.74mm in thickness and 15.65g in weight.
