Museum of Liverpool Emerging Archaeologists (MoLEA) will launch in 2020 as an exciting new opportunity for young people aged 16-24 to gain direct hands-on experience of their local archaeology through workshops and projects.
MoLEA will meet up to ten times a year, during school holidays, for practical sessions with a focus on archaeology. MoLEA will provide members with the opportunity to develop new transferable skills and gain insights into archaeology. Sessions will offer practical hands-on experience and will take place in the Museum of Liverpool’s archaeological finds room.
Who can join?
Young people aged 16-24 who are not currently studying archaeology in higher level education.
When will it start?
Introductory taster sessions will take place on Thursday the 9th of April at the Museum of Liverpool.
Session one 10.00-12.00
Session two 1.00-15.00
The first full session will take place on Wednesday the 15th of April from 10.00-15.00.
