PAS 15 – Finds from Nottinghamshire

This year marks 15 years of the Portable Antiquities Scheme as a national scheme. Throughout the year we’ll be celebrating finds from each county – a find a day for the whole year! Here are the finds we’ve chosen from Nottinghamshire:

Medieval bulla (NLM-4BE7E9): a lead bulla of Pope Clement VI.

Early Medieval bead (DENO-ABEF13): a glass bead of late Roman to early Anglo-Saxon date.

Mesolithic blade (SWYOR-0FFBF4): a retouched flint blade of late Mesolithic to early Neolithic date.

Roman finger ring (DENO-1E6A53): a copper alloy ring with a key bit.

Medieval mount (DENO-A5D203): a copper alloy mount in the shape of an eagle or phoenix.

Early Medieval mount (DENO-C91841): a gilded copper alloy mount.

Medieval buckle (DENO-791016): a copper alloy buckle with fleur-de-lis pin.
