This year marks 15 years of the Portable Antiquities Scheme as a national scheme. Throughout the year we’ll be celebrating finds from each county – a find a day for the whole year! Here are the finds we’ve chosen from Devon:

Post-medieval pot sherd (DEV-21E190): a fragment of North Devon sgraffito ware.
Medieval finger ring (DEV-F85BB4): a copper alloy seal matrix finger ring.
Medieval harness pendant (DEV-C6D8F7): a copper alloy horse harness pendant inlaid with enamel.
Medieval papal bulla (SOM-B5A674): a lead papal bulla of Pope Urban VI.
Post-medieval cloth seal (SOM-4AEAFC): a lead cloth seal with ‘Somerset’ inscribed on it.
Medieval groat (DEV-CD9553): a silver groat of Richard III.
Roman figurine (DEV-D8DC28): a copper alloy figurine of the Roman god Mars.
