Only the butt end of the blade and the socket survives.

The spearhead socket is open at one end for hafting. The mouth is broadly oval in cross section with distinct angular ridges running down the front and back. The socket tapers evenly along its length to form a narrower neck to the junction with the blade. The base of the socket is incomplete with irregular breaks and has an internal section of roughly 11.19mm x 12.35mm. The side loops are positioned towards the centre of the length of the socket. They are oval and one is broken across the perforation, and the other is complete but exceedingly thin. This may be a casting flaw or may be the result of damage. The broken loop was over a hole through the wall of the socket. There is also a circular hole to the side of the other loop.

From the narrowed top of the socket, the blade extends, widening as it does so but continuing to taper in thickness. It is flat on one side and convex on the other. A small piece has been chipped from one side; this chip displays patination and happened at some time in antiquity. There is invasive shallow retouch on the dorsal face, but little working on the ventral. The flint is patinated to white.

Similar arrowheads are illustrated in Butler, 2005, Prehistoric Flintwork, page 124.

An unfinished flint microlithic tool dating from the Mesolithic period, 8300-3500BC.
