{"vacs":[{"id":"62","title":"Finds Liaison Officer (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough)","regionID":"3","specification":"<p>Full time post until 31 March 2008 (with possibility of renewal dependant on grant funding for the national scheme) <br \/><br \/>\r\n&pound;18,450 \u2013 20,235 pa (pay award pending) <br \/>\r\nCastle Court, Cambridge, &amp; Peterborough Museum <br \/><br \/>\r\nThe Portable Antiquities Scheme is a voluntary scheme to record archaeological objects found by the public, including metal detector users, to advance archaeological knowledge and to increase opportunities for active public involvement in archaeology. <br \/><br \/>\r\nBased at Cambridgeshire Historic Environment Record and Peterborough Museum, you will make contact with members of the public, including metal detector users, attend club and society meetings, promote the scheme and the Treasure Act and record objects found on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.findsdatabase.org.uk\">PAS database<\/a>. <br \/><br \/>\r\nYou will have a degree in archaeology or a suitable discipline, or considerable relevant experience. You will have a background in finds identification and recording, with some experience of database entry.
