Details for surface detail White metal coated

Use for a silvery-coloured coating. Although research has shown almost all thin silvery coatings are tin, the two metals cannot be distinguished without an analysis, so this neutral term is needed. If you do have an analysis and know what the white metal is, add this to the Description field.

Don't use for soldered-on silver plates (use the Secondary Material instead) and don't use for silver-plated coins - use the 'Status' field in the coin form instead.
