An incomplete late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval copper-alloy book fitting, dating to c.AD 1400 - 1600. Howsham type A.3.  It is sub-rectangular and formed of one sheet copper alloy. The plate has a flared and scalloped open end. At the opposing end terminates in an old break. It is decorated in the centre with an annulet and three concentric rings. A complete cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle dating to the Post Medieval period c.AD1500-1650. The pin is missing. The buckle frame has a vertical axis bar and then a broadly D-shaped frame having a curved outer edge. This outer edge is splayed the inner edge being higher than the outer. this angled edge has deeply incised decoration creating a series of wavey patterns. The axis bar is recessed and slightly offset with knops projecting from its tips away from the frame. The buckle has a glossy medium green patina. An incomplete Post Medieval lead alloy (pewter) military button of the 3rd Foot Guards "Scots Guards" dating from AD1775-1800. This is an enlisted man's cast 1-piece button. The front of the button has the Order of the Thistle. 3 and G with a thistle between, within a cross with points in angles made up of different length radiating lines. Lead possible shot. A cast object comprising a strip or sprue of width 5mm with a series of seven peloidal balls, each of diameter 4mm and each at the end of a conical ingate. The strip is broken at one end and melted at the other. Patinated. This might be an expedient to cast birdshot or a blunderbuss or shotgun charge of pellets; a mechanical function seems unlikely given the soft nature of the material. Copper alloy button. Uniform button, discoid and slightly concavo-convex but of unfamiliar style to this reporter. A central motif depicts the upper half of a facing figure with wild hair and a short-sleeved garment with its right arm raised, indeterminate objects lie to lower left. An inner circle separates the motif from a three-word circumferential legend: COUNTY FIRE OFFICE – the central word is less clear than the others. A drawn wire loop is brazed to the plain back. The rim is 5.8mm thick and has a plano convex profile with the curved lip being on the interior of the vessel. The original rim diameter was around 250mm.

A lead alloy disc that it possibly a hand made toy, or a weight. It is circular and in section has rounded edges. One face has a central depression which extends across half of the face. Around the raised outer are many parallel lines from the edge into the centre. Set to one side of the blank central portion are two shapes which suggest clock hands, they are thin, pointed triangles which overlap near the widest part.
