Pale Gold half stater, Gaulish Philippus derivative, late Somme Valley Type, c. 225-175 BC, related to the 'Trumpet' type (Sills 204) and possibly related to the Biting Wolf type (Sills 200). Obverse: bust right; rev. chariot right with discombobulated horse, with rosette pattern underneath.
John Sills, the world authority on these coins, has provided the above description. The coin is a new variety.
Diameter: 15.1mm, Weight: 2.98gms, Thickness: 2.4mm, die axis: 2.
