An Iron Age gold stater of the Regini and Atrebates (equating roughly to Southern Wilts across to Buckinghamshire/Surrey and south into Sussex), probably belonging to Rudd's 'early uninscribed types' (2010: 47-8), most similar to ABC 485, 491-4.However, the snout of the horse is more akin to that seen on the (later) inscribed types of Commios (p. 66: ABC 1019 and 1022). The coin depicts a stylised boat possibly with two standing figures and on the reverse a cruciform thunderbolt motif together with various objects in angles. A copper alloy 'Chichester Cock' bronze unit of the Regini (or Atrebates) dating to the period BC 65-45. Obverse depicts a helmeted head. Reverse depicts a small bearded head surmounted by a cock possibly holding a snake in its beak. "These coins are copied from Gaulish types. Chichester Cock bronze units constitute a very large coinage of the mid 1st century BC. .. they are the only bronze coins issued in the Southern Region .. they feature an anthropomorphic cockerel, a genre of grotesque fantasy beasts know as grylloi which date from the 5th century BC." A worn but complete gold stater, attributed to the Southern tribes of the Atrebates or Regini, dating to 60-50 BC. A Selsey-type, probably ABC 485, the 'Selsey two-face' type. The obverse is quite worn and details are hard to make out, however the attributes of the reverse suggest that ABC 485 is most likely.

However, this coin has a pellet in beaded circle to right of horse rather than a crescent which is on the coin illustrated in ABC, and on the examples of this coin in the British Museum.
