Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A worn but complete copper alloy finger ring of late post-medieval or early modern date. The finger ring is formed of a plain hoop with a D-shaped cross section with no internal or external markings or moulded decoration. It is similar to a wedding band. There are very faint traces of a possible silver coating on the outside of the hope but it is too fragmentary to be certain. There is no visible seam. Suggested date: Late 18th to 19th century.
