VICT A[VG TR P (II?)] COSreverse type depicting Victory advancing left holding wreath and palm. Mint of Rome. RICIV pt.1, p.96 & 98, cf no.38a & 57. This coin is a plated copy which combines an obverse (RIC 57ff) with a reverse (RIC 38a) from different issues.

An incomplete possible mount of Medieval date. The object is sub-triangular in shape, almost shield-shaped, with four projecting, circular knops on the outer edge. The object is decorated with curlinear grooves in a possible zoomorphic design that appears to resemble an insect. There appears to be traces of silvering near the point of the mount and within the grooves. A complete copper alloy buckle of Medieval date (AD 1250-1400). The buckle has a single loop D-shaped frame with a narrowed and offset strap bar. Two collared barrel knops furnish the groove for the pin. The pin survives. Traces of silverign remain on the surface of the buckle. The metal has a dark brown-grey patina. The buckle is 23.77mm long, 17.45mm wide, 3.75mm thick and weighs 3.55g. The pin is 14.59mm in length. Similar examples are found in Whitehead p.12 no.26 and are dated to circa AD 1250-1400.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The object is roughly half of a double looped asymmetrical buckle, the rectangular half being all that remains. Worn lobed protrusions project from either end of the strap bar and six lobed knops are present on the outer edge of the longest side of the loop. The pin no longer remains and patches of silvering can be seen over the surface. The metal has a mid greyish-green patina and is worn. Unidentified object consisting of a 1.4mm thick disc, both faces silvered. In its centre is a projecting pin, 2.2mm diameter x 0.3mm high. It is unclear if it is visible on the other face. On one side of the disc is an integral projection, rectangular, 4.5 x 2.5mm, stepping down to 3.3 x 3.3mm. This may represent the damaged end of a shank. Through the projection is rivet with a 2.0mm diameter head, on the other side of the projecting plate are two curved arms 2.0mm wide x 1.1mm thick which follow the edge of the disc for 6.5mm. An incomplete copper alloy hooked tag possibly of Early Medieval date. The object is square shaped in plan with a small project which has been broken in antiquity and could have functioned as a hook. At the opposite side of the tag, there is a circular perforation which would have attached the tag to an item of clothing. There is an incised line on one side of the tag running across the width at the same level as the circular perforation. There is some evidence of silvering although any further decoration has worn away.

An incomplete cast cooper alloy hooked tag of post-medieval date. The hooked tag is of Reads Class A, Type 2 being oval in plan with three attachment knops and the rectangular attachment loop no longer remains. The upper surface is decorated with foliate style designs at the top and base and silvering remain over both surfaces. The reverse is slightly concaved and undecorated. The metal has a dark blackish-green patina and is worn. The hooked tag is 31.9mm long, 22.2mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 5.3g. Similar hooked tags are illustrated in Read, p.170.

A copper alloy zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a lion, dating from the Roman period, probably the 2nd century. The brooch depicts the lion springing to the right. Only two legs are shown, the tail is short and stubby terminating in a fan shape decorated with incised radiating lines. The mane is also decorated with incised lines, as is the shoulder and paws. A medieval copper alloy annular brooch dating from 1250 - 1400. The frame is circular and has a constriction for the pin (which is missing). The frame is D shaped in section and is decorated by eight groups of three or four transverse grooves, creating a beaded effect. There is also an additional groove at each side of the constriction. A complete cast copper alloy mount of medieval date. The mount is an umbonate quatrefoil with a domed central element with raised tip and concave reverse. The base of the domed area is bordered by a flared flattened area from with four equally spaced ovate arms. Each arm is pierced by a rivet at its terminal end all of which survive in tact and project through the reverse of the mount. Patches of silvering remain over the surface of the mount. A Medieval cast copper-alloy 'stirrup'-shaped finger-ring. (dating from about 1175- 1450 AD). The hoop is chunky and expands to a pointed flat topped bezel. At the top of the bezel there differential corrosion, perhaps suggesting a setting, now missing. The hoop is 'D'-shaped in cross-section. This ring is similar to examples from London (Egan and Pritchard 1991: 326, refs: 1608, 1609). It is suggested that this form was popular from the mid-12th to the mid-15th century. A post medieval copper alloy disc from a cuff link. The object is silvered and in fair condition with a grey green patina. The disc is circular and has a flared rim which sits below a raised border.
