A rhomboid plate with a flat central plate bearing three abutting stamped circular hollows of diameter 4.7mm, each with a central pit of diameter 1.8mm and bordered by vertically slashed borders above and below. Although no exact parallel is known, it is likely that this coin was meant to imitate those similar to a known type with a slightly different legend: cf: RIC II, p. 19-20, nos. 37,49 or RIC II (2nd ed), p. 83, no. 359. A copper alloy fragment of a Roman Brooch of Hod Hill type, dating to the 1st Century AD. The object consists of most of the head, the side lugs and a small fragment of the top of the bow. The sub-triangular head terminates in a broken cylinder which would have been formed by rolling the metal back on itself (width 13.8mm). There are traces of iron staining here, suggestive of an iron axis bar. In this there is a slit for the pin, although both the pin and spring mechanism are missing. An incomplete and possibly flattened copper alloy Roman brooch of Aucissa derivative or Hod Hill type, broken into two pieces and dating to the 1st Century AD. One fragment is roughly rectangular in shape (measures 31.4mm x 14.2mm), consisting of most of the length of the bow and an expansion for the head with a notch in the middle for a pin. An incomplete copper alloy Roman Brooch of Hod Hill type, dating to the 1st Century AD. What remains of the brooch is roughly sub-triangular in plan, being very wide at the top and tapering to a narrow base, which is missing. A long narrow tube, incomplete at one end, is formed at the head which holds an iron bar and the hinged pin. This narrows into a plain section before becoming the gently arched bow, which extends downwards to a break before the foot.
