An incomplete copper alloy hooked tag. The upper plate is trapezoid with a semi circular base from which the hook is attached. The upper plate shows two holes at the top which would have secured the item. The two holes are both broken. There is evidence of decoration on the plate but all that remains are four white dots; one in the middle at the top, one in the centre of the plate and two on the lower edge near to the hook. Two fragments of a terret which together form a complete harness ring. The highly decorated, cast copper alloy flat-ring terret dates to the late Iron Age period, circa 50BC - AD50. The larger fragment, which comprises approximately 60% of the complete object, was found first. The smaller fragment was found some weeks later by a different finder, but from the same location. The break is not new and both fragments of the terret have suffered similar damage. TREASURE CASE: 2012 T170 Post Medieval to Modern gold button Description: Cast gold circular domed button with flower design. There is a central circular boss with stippled effect, surrounded by 14 elongated petals which are recessed and contain traces of an inlay, which appears to be red in colour. The reverse of the button is slightly hollowed and has a central circular suspension loop. It is 15.10mm in diameter and weighs 2.73 grams. Roman copper alloy plate brooch. it is circular in plan, decorated with three cast, raised concentric circles with recesses in between. There is possibly the remains of a white paste or corroded enamel in the recess. The reverse has an incomplete catchplate. There is an integrally cast pin lug which is surrounded by iron corrosion from the (now missing) pin. The brooch is 27.25mm in diameter. It is 4.05mm thick, increasing to a thickness of 10.41mm at the pin attachments. It weighs 10.8 grams.

Early medieval copper alloy strap end, Type A, AD 750 -1000, with zoomorphic terminal Made from sheet metal construction, it is sub-oval in shape, has a v-shaped split and the fixing holes are broken at the open end. The front of the shaft is decorated with an animal head terminal, consisting of incised lines, and four fields.
