An Iron Age, Kentish Cantian copper alloy Potin, dating c.75-55 BC. This is an Optimisation Period, Angular Bull Type, Van Arsdell 131-01, ABC 171. The coin is in very good condition and shows very little wear, however one corner of the coin is broken and missing, probably a break occurred during the casting sprue removal.
Obverse: Stylised outline head of Apollo facing left, neckline, eye composed of large ring and dot in the centre.
Reverse: Stylised bull butting right, with two crescents above. Body made of straight lines, pellet in the centre.
