A silver Roman Denarius. Saeculi Felicitas type struck for Julia Maesa at the mint of Rome in the period AD 218-22. Obverse is draped bust right. Reverse is Felicitas standing left, holding lon caduceus and sacrificing over lighted altar. The star in the field is not obvious but may well be on the left of the figure. As RIC IV, part 2, no. 272. The coin gives the impression of plating or of being of noticably poor quality silver. Diameter 18.62mm, 1.95g.
