Post Medieval silver sixpence of William III, probably 1st bust (1696). It has been folded into an S shape in profile. It is likely another coin was bent with it at the same time to form a matching 'token'. Coins folded in this fashion are often called 'love tokens' but they are probably more likely to be tokens of transactions, partculary deals done between illiterate people or those who did not have recourse to pen and paper, a sort of laymans indentured document.
