A worn and heavily clipped Medieval silver coin, probably a long cross penny of Edward IV first reign (1461-1470 AD); York mint. The obverse is a crowned bust facing with a trefoil to the right hand side of the bust; however the extent of wear on the left hand side precludes similar observation there. The reverse of the coin has a long cross pattee with quatrefoil in centre and three pellets in each quadrant.
