A fragment of a silver medieval penny of Henry VI, first reign (1422-1460), Rosette-Mascle coinage dating to 1427-1430. Calais mint. As North 1450. The coin has been intentionally cut in half (possibly for circulation as a halfpenny) and pierced by a sharp implement, such as a knife or dagger.
