A gold noble of Henry V (1413-1422) Class B (North 1370), cf. Woodhead SCBI 47 nos 217-21. Clipped. When found (see image from finder) the coin was folded horizontally across the obverse (across prow of ship).
Obverse: hEn[ ]RA REX AnGL Z FRAn'C DnS hYB[ ] (saltire stops).
Reverse: +IhC AVTEm TRAn[ ]IEnS[ ]ER mEDIVm[ ]V IBAT (saltire stops).

A silver Medieval coin; a probable halfpenny of Henry V (AD 1413 - 1422), mint unknown. There is a broken annulet to the left of the crown, but most other details are illegible. The coin may be a clipped penny as the neck is off the flan. See North number 1394 - 1412. The coin is 14.8mm diameter, 0.55mm thick, 0.5g.
