A worn hammered billon Anglo-Gallic niquet struck for Henry V, dating to c. 1421. Probably mint of Rouen. Obverse: lis above crowned lion passant, H REX ANGL HERES FRANC. Reverse: 'h' at centre of cross pattee, trefoil in each angle, SIT NOME DNI BENEDICTV. As Spink 8162. This appears to be the first coin of its type recorded on the PAS database, though an example from Kent is recorded on the UKDFD (see ID no. 28461).
