A very worn and clipped silver Medieval penny of Henry V (1413-1422). Mint of York. North Class D. Both legends are illegible, save for 'CIVI' on the reverse. The obverse depicts a crowned bust with a tall neck with an oval swelling; an unusual pelleted mullet is positioned to the left of the head with an annulet to the right. The reverse depicts a long cross pattee with a quatrefoil and pellet in centre of the cross; three pellets in each quadrant. Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p71, No. 1401, dated to 1413-1422.
