A complete silver halfgroat of Edward III (AD 1327 to 1377) dating to the period AD 1351 to 1352. North Number 1148. The obverse depicts a forward facing, crowned bust within a tressure of arches. The legend reads EDWARDVS REX ANGL FRA... The reverse depicts a long cross which divides the legends and has three pellets in each angle. The inner legend reads CIVI/TAS/LON/DON. The outer legend reads POS/VI DEV/ADIVT/ORE M. The initial mark is a North type 1.

A slightly damaged and very worn penny, possibly of Edward III dating to the period AD 1327 to 1377. The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust surrounded by the legend which reads EDWARDVS REX A... The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each angle and a quatrefoil in the centre. Much of the reverse legend is illegible although it is possible to read one quarter which reads .../TAS/... It is possible that this coin was produced by the mint at York.
