A highly clipped medieval silver penny or possibly cut halfpenny, probably of Edward I (AD 1279 - 1307). Coin is heavily clipped, legends are missing although an annulet stop can be seen on reverse, a jagged break runs across the diameter, uncertain if this is deliberate cut. Diameter 10.88 mm, thickness 1mm and weight 0.1 g.

Possibly an Edward I or II withers type 9 halfpenny of the London mint. There appears to be a letter A after hYB ob legend reads as EDWA R ANGL DNS hYB (though the typ 9 legend reads as EDWAR R ANGL DNS Hyb). The coin is too small to be a penny and the legend does not match any farthing inscription so will have to be a halfpenny. The diameter is 18mm and the weight 1.42g. .
