A Medieval penny of Edward IV, First Reign (1461-1470), Mint of Durham AD 1471-72. The coin is very worn and broken all along one side. Due to corrosion it has a brown- grey patina.

A Medieval copper alloy key from the 14th century. It has corroded to a brown-grey patina. The key has a stem of oval cross section, the bow is 30.52 mm wide and circular. Just underneath the bow the key thickens and then thins out right down to the end of the key. At the shank it is 9.3 mm thick. It is 100.41mm long, 30.52 mm wide, 9.3mm thick and it weighs 40.7 grams.

A complete Medieval silver penny of Edward 1 (1272-1307 AD), probably class 10, minted in Durham. The reverse reads [CIVI/ TAS] DVR/ EME, it also has a long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each angle. The obverse is extremely worn and scratched.

A medieval penny that has been cut in half. The reverse shows a part of the long cross that would have been on the revers with two of the angles with 3 pellets in each. It is 17.66 mm long, 8.33 mm wide, 0.9mm thick and 0.5 grams.

An incomplete double looped buckle frame, dating to the Post Medieval period.There is a protruding lobed knop at the centre of the outer edge of the extant elongated D-shaped loop. There is also a moulded knop at each end of the pin bar. The knop on the outer edge is grooved to act as a pin rest. The pin is cast, simply looped round to attach it and tapers to a point at the other end. The frame is D- shaped, with the middle protruding to a point. The surface is corroded and has a brown and grey patina. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 62; ref 373) though …
