An incomplete, worn and corroded cast copper-alloy Roman plate brooch of Umbonate type dating to c. AD 100-250. The brooch is incomplete, with losses at the exterior circumference of the disc and with the head loop, pin and catch plate also absent. The brooch is broadly circular in plan and formed of a central enamelled disc, with an exterior circular ridge that incorporates the knops and head loop at the cardinal points.
