The necklace is constructed in the same manner as no. 1, although the terminal, of which only the hook part survives, has a rectangular sheet metal cover plate wrapped around it. The chain is irregularly interspersed with a series of cut stones: there are 10 reddish-brown polyhedral faceted garnets, two disc-shaped garnets, and three cylindrical emeralds of different sizes. A medieval silver annular brooch, now broken and distorted. The brooch is formed of wire of square section, twisted to form a cable design, and with a row of granulations along each side. The brooch has broken at the restriction which would have held the pin. For similar finds, see Treasure Annual Report 2000 (no 134). The brooch probably dates to the 13th or 14th century. Maximum length: 37mm.

Penannular ring having narrow stripes of alternately yellow and whiter gold. The surface is rather worn except for the interior of the hoop where the striping is protected. The hoop tapers to flat terminals. When tested the ring was found to be of the type consisting of a gold covering over a non-precious metal core (see report). Maximum external diameter 16mm; weight 9.23 grams.

Silver-gilt buckle with a triangular plate, recently broken in two pieces. The oval loop, of D shaped section, is cast in one with the plate. It has a false shield-on-tongue composed of two stepped, crescentic panels, each decorated with a band of interlace now obscured by corrosion. The base of the tongue is an elongated oval, the tip is now missing. An incomplete cast copper-alloy unidentified object. It has a curving shaft, sub-circular in cross-section, that ends in a three-dimensional zoomorphic head. The head resembles a dog or possibly a dragon; it has three long locks of hair (or fur or feathers) in relief along each side of the head. A complete cast copper alloy Medieval bead. It is sqaure in plan and cross section, with a central perforation. The external decoration is roughly geometric in design comprising of a central band of 4 blunted lozengifrom pyramids with an interlocking band of 4 blunted half lozengiform pyramids both above and below. The sides are angled to create points coming from each side; the mace has a total of 14 faces. It is in good condition, with a dark green patina. It measures 25.36 mm L x 24.81 mm W x 18.83 mm H x 6.05 mm DIA (perforation) and weighs 74.95 g.
