An incomplete copper alloy Medieval beehive thimble constructed from sheet metal; it probably dates between 1400-1500 AD. It is now damaged and no longer in its original shape, but was probably domed shaped originally; it is currently in a sub-hexagonal shape. The top of the dome is plain with no decoration. An incomplete cast copper alloy object, probably a Post Medieval tap. It is biconical, with a concave section on either side of the ovoid centre. There are seams from the manufacturing process visible along all sides. The flared ends are flat, with multiple small, parallel scratches along the surface. Anglo-Saxon silver-gilt sword-ring, late 6th century. Cast silver-gilt sword ring inlaid with niello. Each face is grooved and gilt, one side is beaded, the other is plain. Around the circumference a central gilt beaded band is flanked by a nielloed zigzag on one side and a row of nielloed triangles on the other. A complete early medieval gold beaded sword hilt ring. Few external abrasions. The object is sub-circular in plan, thinner towards one side. It is formed from beaded wire Recent finds from the Saffordshire Hoard: STAFFS-BE4398, STAFFS-BE3AE2,STAFFS-E5CE97 and STAFFS-D2CD85 indicate that this object is in fact likely to be a 7th century sword hilt ring. A recent find of update (Jan 2022) is from Shropshire HESH-F29A94 and was recently reported as treasure.

The fitting has a straight, rectangular centre and expanding rounded ends, giving the object an over all bow shape. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy strap end. It is probably a forked spacer. It has a knopped end with a collar at the base. The plate is circular, and has a rectangular projection at the base of the plate; this has an old break, which is where the fork would have been. The spacer is flat over all. It is in fair condition, with corrosion, and scratches along the plate. It measures 26.18 mm L x 5.17 mm W (at knop) x 13.99 DIA (of circular plate) x 2.54 mm TH and weighs 2.01 g. A cast copper alloy Bronze Age socketed axehead fragment. It is probably a South-Eastern type, dating to 1000-800 BC. The fragment consists of the blade and the beginning of the body. The body is hollow, with a subrectangular section. The blade, which is solid, flares out with a pronounced blade tip. The casting seam is visible on one side just above the blade tip. It measures 47.07 mm L x 39.15 mm W x 12.66 mm TH (at the solid point) and weighs 63.72 g.

A complete Medieval lead alloy cast seal matrix. The seal matrix is pointed oval (vesica), with an integral non-pierced lug at the top of a sprue on the reverse. The front has a retrograde inscription running counterclockwise along the edge of the seal matrix; it reads S'WI(LL) [-] FIL ALVRED. The inscription is bound above and below by a single line. The reverse is plain, but the front has a six pointed star ('Star of David') within a circle. The inscription along the edge is mostly missing, but the extant legend reads '+ S N[---] E'. A complete Early Neolithic flint scraper, possibly a horshoe type. The scraper is long and broad leaf shape, with a triangular cross section. The ventral surface is flat and has a bulb of percussion with radiating ripples. It has retouch along all edges is mostly unifacial with very minimal bifacial retouch along two edges. The dorsal surface retains some of the original cortex. The flint is light to dark gray and is not very opaque. It is 69.02 mm L x 33.76 mm W x 16.04 mm TH. It weighs 32.6 g.

Silver-gilt hollow cast pinhead with bent silver pin attached. The head is spherical with transverse line dividing it into two hemispheres, each with three filigree circles with a further three circles within each. Small applied knops at centre of most of the large circles, broken off in some. Approx 35 mm in length from head to bent back tip of pin. 16th century. Very similar to dress pin reported in Treasure Annual Report 2000, p.94 no.191, in which the pin is similarly (apparently deliberately) bent.
