An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval mount. It was most likely cruciform in shape when whole, but only three arms survive; it is D shape in section. The reverse is flat. The centre is a circle with a large perforation; four arms, three extant, protrude off the centre. One arm is broken off at the circle, one arm breaks part way along, with the other two terminating in crescent shape terminals, which are broken (these may in fact have been circular, but only the crescent shape survives). One of the arms shows moulded lines between the arm and the terminal. It is in fair condi…

An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy mount, possibly for a casket. It is symmetrical, with an off centre, single knop at each end. Each knop is located at the end of a subtriangular section, which contains three parallel tear shaped recesses that run at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the mount. Each subtriangular section is connected to the end point of a diamond shaped section; this has a line that borders the edges, outlining the diamond shape. There are small straight parallel lines that run between the single line and the very edge of the mount. The centre is a quatrefoil…
