Silver-gilt buckle with a triangular plate, recently broken in two pieces. The oval loop, of D shaped section, is cast in one with the plate. It has a false shield-on-tongue composed of two stepped, crescentic panels, each decorated with a band of interlace now obscured by corrosion. The base of the tongue is an elongated oval, the tip is now missing. At the junction of the loop and plate, on each side of the narrow flange bordering the latter, is a garnet-inlaid collared boss with a beaded rim. An incomplete cast copper alloy Post Medieval spectacle buckle dating between 1550-1650. It is D shape in section , and double looped in plan. The central strap bar has a small knop at each end. Each loop has a central lobe with a moulded rosette. Although the pin is missing, it was probably iron as there is iron corrosion visible on the bar strap. There are patches of black lacquer on the reverse, and of polychrome lacquer on each lobe, possibly originally red and black, but in its current it is orange-brown and black. An incomplete cast copper alloy Post Medieval hat buckle, dating between 1720-1800. It was a square buckle with rounded corners in plan and D shape in section; however, it is broken and only portions of two arms survive. The longer arm expands at the centre and tapers at the corners, where there is a single notch. There is a complex curvilinear design moulded into the buckle, which meets in the centre of the longer arm. The buckle is in good condition, albeit broken with old breaks. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman openwork buckle plate dating to the 4th and 5th centuies. It is rectangular in plan and subtriangular in section (with a bevelled edge). It consists of only two arms of the mount, with the rest missing. The mount has evidence of openwork on its inside, but due to breaks, the design is no longer obvious. An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval buckle dating between 1300-1450. The frame is a single loop that is sub-rectangular in plan, with convex arms, and rectangular in section. It has a copper alloy rectangular sheet folded around the end bar; the sheet has a transverse copper alloy convex bar at its end, held in place by a copper alloy rivet. It is in good condition, with the plate missing. It has a dark green patina. It measures 17.76 mm L (with the rotating closure extended) x 11.46 mm W x 3.85 mm TH and weighs 1.21 g.

A complete cast copper alloy Medieval (1350-1400) buckle. It is a single loop rectangular buckle with expanded outer edges. It is sub-rectangular in plan. It has a large barrel end with three transverse grooves in the centre; the central groove was most likely for the pin, now missing. Each side bar has two casting spurs, one at each end. It is in good condition and dark brown in colour. It measures 17.09 mm L x 22.59 mm W x 4.85 mm TH and weighs 5.45 g.

It is the corner of a buckle, with a single inner knop surviving on the long arm. Outside and below the loop is a rectangular moulded collar. The shaft tapers slightly towards the end; on the underside of the tip, there is a small worn area that may be the notch.
