A lead alloy spindle whorl of probable Medieval date. The spindle whorl is plano convex and circular in plan. There is a central circular perforation. The object is decorated with a raised border around the perimeter. Both faces are decorated with a series of raised dots separated by lines radiating from a central raised border. The spindle whorl has a creamy brown and white patina. The object weighs 30.5g, with a diameter of 28.21mm and a thickness of 9.07mm.
