A broken silver penny of King Stephen dating to 1136-1145. The coin is an example of the Watford type, a mint has not been identified because of the poor condition of the coin. North Number: 873. The obverse of the coin has been double struck with the reverse image.

A complete copper-alloy and gilt annular brooch of Medieval date. It has an annular frame with four evenly spaced oval shaped collets. The collets would have probably contained glass settings, these are now lost. The interior of the band has two recesses at opposite sides that would have held a pin. There is evidence of the gilt remaining on the object. The back of the object is undecorated. The patina is green and the object is in good condition. The object weighs 2.3g and measures 21.25mm in diameter.

A complete blue glass bead probably dating from the Roman to the Early Medieval period AD 43-1066. The object is circular in plan and conical. It has a off centre circular perforation measuring 4.48mm in diameter. The glass is cloudy dark blue. The outer surface is covered with grooves and pitting. The object weighs 3.3g and measures 15.7mm in overall diameter.

A lead gaming piece probably dating to the Early Medieval period. The object is circular in plan and triangular in section. The bottom of the object is flat and circular whilst the top is domed. There is no decoration. The metal is white/grey in colour and the object weighs 5.4g, measuring 6.07mm in height and 13.54mm in diameter. Similar examples can be found on this database, for example SWOR-21BDC3.

A complete finger ring made from silver and dating to the Medieval period (15th-16th centuries). The ring is broadly circular in plan and rectangular section. There are four panels on the hoop, each rectangular in shape, with part of the undecorated hoop visible in between each. Two of the opposite panels are engraved in an iconographic style, depicting a standing figure looking towards the right. The other two opposite panels have floral engraved decoration. The ring is in good condition, with some wear and tear on the interior of the hoop.

A incomplete copper alloy anthropomorphic mount in the shape of a human head with probable Roman date. The object is convex and largely oval in shape with a rectangular protrusion coming from the 'chin' end of the face. The protrusion has been broken and an unknown quantity remains. The features of the face have all but been worn away, but it is possible to depict a raised nose and incised eyes. The back of the object is hollow, with a large amount of interior corrosion. The metal is green in colour and the object weighs 12.6g and measures 30.58mm in length, 18.02mm in width and 11.65…

An incomplete copper alloy buckle dating to the late Early Medieval period with close parallels that have been dated to the 9th-12th centuries. The buckle is D shaped in plan, with a thick curved section and a narrow offset bar. Either side of the bar sub rectangular projections. The pin has been lost and is no longer present. The object has traces of silver remaining on the surface, but is otherwise copper alloy which is a mottled green/brown colour. It weighs 3.4g and measures 17.04mm in length and 15.37mm in width. A complete blue glass bead of uncertain date, possibly either Roman or Early Medieval. The bead is conical, with a central circular perforation through the entire object. An incomplete copper alloy harness pendant dating to between 1200-1400. The pendant is shield shaped and is missing the suspension loop. The front face is decorated with yellow, red and green enamel that has been worn away. The decoration is difficult to depict, but it is possibly a dragon passant left in a square with a lis either side. The back face is undecorated and the object is worn around the perimeter. It weighs 3.2g and measures 21.00mm in length and 20.00mm in width. The copper alloy is a dark green colour. A similar example can be found by looking at the record number DUR-6…
