A copper-alloy handle lug from a chafing dish of Medieval or post-Medieval. The lug is sub-oval in plan and rectangular in cross-section with rounded corners. It has a collar at one end beyond which is the stub of a circular rivet which was attached to the vessel wall. The loop has a circular hole through it to retain the handle.

A fragment of a copper-alloy vessel of Medieval date. It is the terminal end of a pot leg which is semi-circular in shape and oval in cross section. It has a dark green patchy patina with black deposits of burnt material.
The adhering traces of an unidentified black substance, which is probably a sooty/carbon deposit, on each surface of the object.
Cast cooking vessels seem to have come into use in the second half of the 13th century and to have continued at least until c. 1600 (Geake 2001: 52). Butler and Green (2003; 15) state 'there is evidence that (cast copper alloy) metal …

A rim fragment of a ceramic vessel of probable Post-Medieval date. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and slightly curved in profile. The rim of the vessel curves outwards and measures 23.09mm thick. The outer face is decorated with two transverse ridges. It is mid-orange in colour. The internal face is mid orange and shallow grooves from the wheel can be seen. At the base is a small oval patch of black glaze. The internal fabric is a lighter orange and appear to have been evenly fired.

A fragment of a cast copper-alloy vessel of Medieval date. It is the foot of a cooking pot. Each face of the object contains adhering traces of an unidentified black substance, which is probably a sooty/carbon deposit which occurred due to cooking.
