There are further circular holes at each end for separately cast rivets which are present. The mount is decorated with horizontal lines either side of the central 'd'. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. The spring case and upper part of the bow survive, the rest missing due to old breaks. The spring casing is undecorated and part of the spring remains inside. The bow is flat and projects from the spring casing at almost 90 degrees. There is then a collar with a projecting circular knop below and another collar at the break. It measures 18.18mm in length, 18.88mm in width, 4.27mm in thickness and weighs 4.63g.
