A damaged, sheet copper alloy, bowl, probably Roman, possibly of the 'Irchester' type, dating from c. 350-450AD. The bowl is made from a single piece of sheet metal, hammered to a thickness of about 1mm, turned inwards at the rim. There are faint striations running vertically up the body of the bowl. Although badly damaged by crushing, it is likely that the bowl was about 136mm in diameter. A large fragment flattened lead artefact consisting of an oval shaped disc with scalloped edges, one end of which has broken away in antiquity and is missing. The 'pie crust' edges would have once been vertical walls. The letters I W are impressed into the centre of the oval from the side with the walls. The letters are visible in relief on the other face where they read "W I" but only faintly. Traces of a second identical disc survive, the two having been stacked together. A copper alloy vessel spout dating from the late Medieval period, probably AD1400-1550. It has a concave back where it would have been soldered to the vessel. The spout is zoomorphic, in the shape of a dog's head with upturned nose, lentoid incised eyes and projecting rounded ears. There is a ridge that runs along the centre of the forehead. It has a pale green/grey patina. A number of these spouts can be found on the database, for example at references IOW-597D38 and LVPL-DE00F1. There is an out-turned foot with 2 projecting toes. The inside of the leg is flat. It is probably not a complete leg, as the top is broken. It is 75.4mm long, 27.6mm wide and 13.9mm thick. It weighs 134.1gm.

The foot from a copper alloy, medieval cauldron or similar vessel, dating from AD1200-1500. Part of the wall of the vessel remains attached to the top of the foot. Two prominent, rounded, vertical ridges, one slightly wider than the other, run along the centre of the foot. The toe of the foot is rounded and the leg has a flat reverse. The foot has a light green patina. It is 54.8mm long, 39.7mm wide and 18.7mm thick. It weighs: 110.8 gm.

It has a deep groove running around the rim, flanked by two shallower grooves, There are further shallow grooves running around the sides of the vessel below the rim. The fabric is grey, with a buff coloured core and is fine grained. There are grit and quartz inclusions. The broken edges show irregular fractures. It is 39.5mm long, 31.8mm wide and 11mm thick .
