One element of a two-part, cast copper alloy swivel, of medieval date, c. 1100-1500AD. It consists of a ring of metal, flattened at one side, where it is pierced with a circular hole to take a bolt which would connect it to the other, similar element. The rivet and the second element are missing. On each side of the rivet hole is a transverse, tapering circular collar and a slight thickening of the main ring. These are devolved animal heads; the ears are visible. The swivel has a dark brown patina. It is 26.2mm long, 28.4mm wide and 10.9mm thick. It weighs 8.09gm. See Griffiths, Philp…

A copper alloy hooked mount, probably a sword belt fitting dating from the 16th or 17th centuries. The plate is rectangular in shape (wider than it is tall) and has two rivet holes in it. One of the holes still contains the rivet. The hook or loop is incomplete, with a little missing from the end making it unclear if it was a closed circle or not. It projects from a long side of the mount and curves forwards into a circle. The object has a length of 26.09mm, width 25.51mm, thickness 1.79mm, weight 6.31g. KENT-558F51 is a similar fitting.
