A copper alloy and iron handle probably from a knife of medieval or post-medieval date. The core of the object is iron with an oval cross section measuring 16mm in width and 16mm thick. Surmounting the top of the iron is a worn moulded figure. The figure is holding something small, possibly a baby or a lamb and has its head resting on the top of the baby/animal's head. Two complete forged, wrought iron horse shoes probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. Each horse shoe is U-shaped in plan and obscured by corrosion. Large horse shoe: the horseshoe narrows towards the rear and is wider at each side due to wear and has thickened a heel calkin at each terminus. Three large sub-rectangular rivets remain in situ. A complete iron Shot/Cannonball of probable Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is sub-spherical in shape slightly flattened on two opposite faces. The surface is heavily pitted and corroded with much of the adhering iron corrosion having been removed following its discovery. The size is small either suggesting it was used as grape shot or that it was for a small hand-held cannon (possibly a rabinet (1inch bore). An iron cannon ball of possible Civil War date. The ball measures 73mm in diameter and weighs 1642g / 3lb 9.9oz. The ball is stamped with a mark which is worn and unclear, possibly 2G. The object is iron however corrosion has been cleaned off leaving it a mid-grey colour with light brown patches and traces of adhering iron corrosion. The object was discovered by the landowner and was picked up by the tractor tracks.

Three iron and one copper alloy nails found in close proximity. The nails have a rectangular sectioned shank and a wedge shaped point. The head is sub-rectangular and flat. Nails are difficult to date and in this case the condition of the nails indicates a probable post-medieval to modern in date. The iron nails are covered with iron corrosion and are reddish brown in colour. The copper alloy nail has a mid-green patina.

An incomplete handle from a spoon or knife of post-medieval date. The object has an iron core which is coated with white metal, probably silver. The handle is sub-rectangular in plan tapering in width towards the break where it terminates. It is hexagonal in cross-section. The outer silvered surface is decorated with two transverse bands. A fragment comprising the neck and heel of a post-medieval iron rowel spur. The neck, which bifurcates to take the missing rowel terminates with an ancient break. One arm is incomplete terminating with an ancient break while the other arm terminates with an integral figure of eight terminal, one loop of which is incomplete. An incomplete iron horseshoe of probable medieval to post-medieval date, (1100-1800). The object is a typical U-shape in plan and is almost complete. The calkins are rounded and worn. An incomplete linch pin of late Iron Age to early Roman date, c. 100BC-AD100. The object consists of a circular sectioned iron shank, surmounted at one end by an incomplete copper alloy terminal. The terminal which measures 30.01mm in length terminates with a break. The terminal flairs outwards with a 'flared skirt' where it joins the iron shaft above this is a circumferential collar. An iron whittle tanged knife of Roman to Medieval date. The blade measures 93.02mm in length and the tang 13.17mm in length. The tang is incomplete. Each edge is slightly curved with the cutting edge measuring 1.28mm thick and the opposite edge measuring 2.07mm. The knife terminates with a rounded point. A cast iron horseshoe dating from the late Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The circular horseshoe was used to give extra support at the heel for orthopaedic reasons and is not diagnostic of date. The nail holes for the shoe to be attached to the horses hoof are corroded over and can not be ascertained. The shoe is sub-oval in plan and arches slightly inwards at one end. The object is in poor condition due to corrosion.

The nail holes appear to be sub-rectangular however they are obscured by corrosion. The web is uneven being wider on once half of the object than the other. At its widest point the web measures 36.38mm. The entire object shows signs of extensive post-depositional corrosion.
