Well-preserved copper-alloy ball-headed Tudor pin; 16th century AD date. The pin has a spherical head ornamented with twisted filigree wire in a pattern of four four-petaled flowers, each within a circle, with one embossed granule at the centre of each flower and between each circle. There are two holes in the head, where corrosion has worn through the metal, showing the hollow space inside the dome. The shaft of the pin is copper-alloy, circular in section, and has been bent.
