A cast copper alloy spectacle (double loop) buckle of c.1550-1650. There are angular lobed knops at two symmetrical points on the external edge of each loop and at either end of the strap bar. The front of the buckle frame has a tapered edge on the loops and strap bar. The reverse has a plain flat surface. File marks are evident on its front surface. The loop of an iron pin is present but missing the main formation of the pin. It has suffered a wide break on one loop. An example can be seen in 'Buckles 1250-1850' by Ross Whitehead fig.382.

A cast copper alloy, possibly tinned, double loop spectacle buckle of c.AD 1550-1650. The pin is missing and was likely to be iron. At either tapered end can be seen 4 decorative groove lines. The reverse is blank. A somewhat similar example can be seen in Whitehead (2003) No.367 and see an identical associated example at PUBLIC-8C9071.

A copper alloy ring, possibly a harness ring with an estimated date range of AD 1200-1800. It is an irregular circle construction. The outer part of the ring is 26mm in diameter and the inner part is 17mm and has flat front and back edges but both outer and inner edges are bevelled to almost a point. File marks can be seen on all edges. An similar record can be seen at LVPL-75068A.

A post medieval silver penny of James I (1603-25), second coinage (1604-19), initial mark: rose (probably) dating to AD1605-06, mint: Tower (London), North 2106/1. Ref: North 1991: p.146.  Obverse: Tudor rose within beaded inner circle; I D G ROSA SINE SPINA. Reverse: thistle within beaded inner circle; TVEATVR VNITA DEVS. The coin has a very slight bend and is not uniform in shape missing some of the legend.

A small cast copper alloy buckle plate of possibly 1300-1500AD. The copper alloy strip is folded over and has one rivet towards the end of the plate. A cut away section is at the folded end which would have been the positioning for the pin held in place with the buckle bar through two loops at the same end. The buckle along with the pin is missing. It has a mottled patina surface.

A cast copper alloy possibly tinned double loop spectacle buckle of around 1550-1650AD. The pin is missing and was likely to be iron as there is evidence of iron oxidisation on the pin axis bar and on one side of the buckle face. At one tapered end of the buckle can be seen 4 decorative grooves. A somewhat similar example can be seen in R. Whitehead 1250-1800 No. 367.

A 1600-1800 complete copper alloy seal matrix. It exibits a glossy brown/green patina. The handle has 4 hole with 3 slightly differing diameters across the width and 1 larger central loop at the top. The die face is slightly oval at 15mm by 14mm and has a bell centrally with the letters K and S either side. The handle is 15mm wide and 1mm thick. Similar to records YORYM-1885F4 and SUR-A54D54.

A cast copper alloy button convex in shape with a rectangular tapered holed shank of 7mm in length which has evidence of iron oxidisation, It presents a six sided star engraved centrally with joined annulets around the edge of these. In the middle of the star are two crescents and three slightly larger annulets.Between 5 of the star points it exhibits crescents and between 2 star points there is a larger annulet. A contemporary forgery of a George III Halfpenny confirmed by Greg Spink of Spinks London. Apparently common around this possible date of 1775 (the last digit in exergue is not fully identifiable). The most identifying detail is the bust which is not George III in comparison to any of the issues. Obverse shows uniformed bust facing right with GEORGIVS III REX. Reverse shows Britannia seated left with BRITAN NIA.

A copper alloy partially gilded strap loop fitting of around the 14th century. It is rectangular in shape and has traces of gilding on both faces and has bevelled edges on those faces. There is a centrally positioned broken round shank measuring 4mm long with a diameter of 3.5mm. It exhibits some patina within corrosion. For similar examples on this database, see NLM-7CF035, NARC-FE561A and BH-ED2C6B. Note the similar fitting in Egan and Pritchard 1991, pp. 232, Fig.147, No.1239.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy Rose/Orb Nuremberg jetton, from the period 1515-1559, by master George Schultes. Obverse: GEORG SCHVLTES IN NVRBERG; three crowns alternating with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a central rose Reverse: Unsure of inscription; Imperial orb surmounted by cross within a three-arched tressure. The jetton has suffered a bend over a quarter of its area and has a nice even patina. Measurements: 24 mm in diameter, 1 mm in thickness and 1.3 g in weight.
