A cast lead spindle whorl of Medieval date, c. 1200-1500. The spindle whorl is biconical with a hold through the centre. Each face is decorated with raised lines radiating out from the central hold, many of which are worn along with the face, creating an uncertain number of panels. Some panels consist of the raised lines being connected by horizontal raised lines, and some panels have at least one raised dot. Other panels appear to be undecorated. Unfortunately, the wear on the spindle whorl makes the number of panels and decorative scheme uncertain.
