An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c. 1600-1700. The buckle was double-framed, but only one frame remains. This frame is generally trapezoidal in plan with a cast integral crossbar, and a pin made from a triangular length of copper alloy with one end wrapped around the crossbar. The outer frame has a rounded knop at each corner, with a slight projection in the centre of the frame.

The upper and lower frames have mould crescentic decoration to either side of the crossbar, with the outer tips of each cresent flanking the outer frame, such that the outer frame appears to have outward turned 'horns'. The pin is missing.

A cast copper-alloy buckle chape of Post-Medieval date, c. 1675-1725. Only the chape remains, consisting of a sub-triangular frame with a single pointed stud on the inside of the longest side. The cylindrical lug had a rectangular hole in its centre, filled with iron corrosion, presumably the base of the pin. The chape has been bent and distorted.

A cast copper-alloy buckle and plate of the Medieval period, AD 1250-1500. The buckle has a D-shaped frame with a slightly offset crossbar and a roller made of a sheet of copper alloy set in a central recess of the outer frame. The plate was cut from sheet, with slots cut to form the hinge of the plate, then folded around the crossbar of the buckle frame. The plate was riveted, with a larger dome-headed rivet surviving near the hinge, and a smaller square-headed rivet near the upper outer corner of the plate.
