A fragment of a copper alloy rod with external moulding in the form of twisted strands. The object was recorded from a photograph and it is not clear if it was made up of separate strands or is solid, merely having this appearance. The rod is circular in section and the strands about 1mm thick. One end of the rod is distorted as if broken by twisting, whereas the other is more cleanly broken or cut.
